CEU Information
This symposium will award ATRA members 10 CEU’s with 1 additional CEU to those members who attend the AGM.
NCTRC CEU credit details are forthcoming and will be available on the ATRA website.
Key Note Speaker
Dr. David Austin is the creator of the Health Protection/Health Promotion Model of Therapeutic Recreation. Dr. Austin is currently Professor Emeritus at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. He has been an active advocate for the profession for many years and has served as a consultant for the Indiana Department of Health. Dr. Austin is well published in the area of Therapeutic Recreation with over 100 professional articles and several widely used text books. Professor Austin will share chapters from his forthcoming book and a panel of educators and professionals will give their reaction. If possible, textbooks will be available for sale at the conference, including his soon to be released book "Lessons Learned: An Open Letter to the Next Generation of Recreational Therapy Students and Practitioners."
