Join us at the iconic Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise to celebrate the theme of
Growing Recreation Together!
The 2019 symposium program is tailored to address key, current topics identified by recreational therapists in the field. The Conference/Symposium includes sessions on community partnership programs for addiction and mental health, optimizing practices through Supportive Living Recreation Therapy Framework, community collaboration and using recreation therapy to help build resilience for individuals with health challenges. There will also be a diverse range of sessions on Indigenous topics, parks, community development, facilities, recreation, sport, current recreation research and more through a number of ARPA-facilitated streams.
This year's exciting line-up of social events includes the Wardens Trio and their Canadian mountain music, Indigenous Storytelling and Music around the Campfire, the tradeshow and silent auction and a Halloween Dance!
